Visual Poetry

DispairA collection of original poems placed on top of unique visual expressions.

The intent is to have both the poetry and visual expressions be able to stand on their own, but when the two pieces come together they work to enhance, or even change, the meaning of the original. This is by no means new, writers and artists have been using visual art and words for a very long time to enhance and clarify their works. A form of this can be seen in the plethora of the internet meme; taking a simple image then adding a word or phrase to change or enhance its meaning.

Also, like the internet meme, these are designed to be shared (so feel free), just keep any name included on the image intact (linking to YourPredator is appreciated but by no means necessary).

If anyone in the visual arts would like to collaborate on a piece, please feel free to e-mail me.
