Poem: River Moves

River moves,

Passing through canyons,

Forests,

Through fields that feed humanity.

When water flows,

People, Flora and fauna,

And beasts that roam,

All drink.

Still, it aids the still mind,

In motion it moves the body,

Vast oceans capture the heart,

Small springs feed the spirit.

To heaven it rises,

In clouds it soars,

To the earth it falls,

By rain, fog, and snow.

A force that cuts ever patiently,

Through soil, stone,

Flesh and thought,

Feeding the forces of change.

All drink,

Beasts that roam,

Flora, fauna, and people,

When water flows.

Through fields that feed humanity,

Forests,

Passing through canyons,

River moves.
