About

This is the small space in a little corner of the web that I call my home, but unlike the apartment I live in with my small family, all are welcome within these walls. Many things will be posted on my little home on the web; musings, stories, poetry, news about the life that is mine, and blatant self promotions. Speaking of self promotions; you can follow me on twitter @esahc and if your talking about me on twitter #hccoch.

I hope you like what you see & read and I welcome all contributions, constructive criticisms, loving praise, hate mail, & comments of almost all sorts. I’ve been writing for a long time, but never bothered to get anything published. Things are changing. Self publication is really appealing to me and I never wanted anyone to “own” the words I put down. In my effort to do something with the litany of writing I’ve created over years, along with the work I’m doing now, this blog is only the beginning. As funds become available and more people read what I have to write, more mediums will be added.

To make sifting through the mess that is this blog, manageable, everything will be categorized. You can sift through the categories by clicking on the browse link and everything should be self explanatory. After a lot of thought on how to move forward with the content of this site, I have decided to release all my works under a creative commons license. I think the reasoning behind this is self-evident; but for those who don’t understand: I want what I have to say spread, and since the public domain in this country has been trampled into near non-existence, I offer what I believe to be the next best thing thing.

Writing and literature (arguably everything else) in the world and throughout history have always been influenced/inspired and/or outright plagiarized from someone or something else. We would not have many of the great writers in history if today’s draconian copyright law existed back when many of the great works of literature were created. William Shakespeare was known to use other authors words verbatim. James Joyce’s Ulysses , in no short order, is a retelling of the Odyssey. I do not compare myself to these great men but offer them as reasons why I make the choices I do.
